The one night obsession

Oops, I did it again!

I had another.... one night obsession.

Now you might be wondering, what am I talking about? I realised a few months ago or so that every party I go to ends the same way. I basically show up with my friends, and eventually, somewhere along the line, someone catches my eye.

I honestly never go to a party with the intention of making out with someone. But, it's just inevitable, and I am for one, sick of it. I just see someone I like and I don't even know them, but for god's sake, I get obsessed with them. And I don't like it because then my night basically becomes this mission of trying to seduce a random stranger. And basically it becomes the only focus of the night. And if I don't end up kissing this person then my night is a failure.

But it shouldn't be this way. I want to have fun with my friends, and that's it. I don't want someone I don't know to become the focus of my night.

So, what can we do to really have fun at parties and not let this bull*** ruin our night out?

Well, I've been thinking. And my conclusion would be that we just have to let everything flow. When we go to parties, we shouldn't have any expectations, just like in life. We should just let things happen. And this way we will never be disappointed again. Because, if something happens, then it'll be cool. And if not, that's also cool, we'll also have enjoyed our night with our friends without needing more than that. It's never a good idea to go to a party trying to find someone, because you already put your focus on something that really doesn't matter. What if we just enjoy the moment? Of course we are going to see attractive people and that's normal. But seeing a cute person shouldn't mean that you wanna kiss them and do things with them. We can just accept that we are attracted to other people and not let that become our "goal". Plus, if something is meant to happen, it will. And if a person you like is attracted to you you'll know. Moreover, I want to say that if we are desperate and try to force things we are not attractive to anyone.

Just be cool, enjoy the night, and whatever happens happens ;)

Hopefully reading this article will help you enjoy partying more without making it about someone and just live the moment with your besties.

I will honestly try to stop this toxic habit of having one night obsessions.
